Submission Call - Purple Hues 3

 

 

A call for submissions of short stories and poems for the third edition of Purple Hues

Guidelines;

1- We accept both fiction and non-fiction in stories.

2-The stories and poems should resemble our THEME is some way. The Theme for Purple Hues-3 is INSPIRE.

3-We want the stories and poems to reflect the emotions of courage, bravery, joy, gratitude, hope, love, awakening, self-realization, pride, faith and re-instilling change in the mindsets.

4- Story and Poems should be in English and unpublished. The maximum limit for short story is 2000 words and maximum limit for the poem is 30 lines.

5- Co-authored stories and multiple submissions are allowed.

6- The selected participants need to pay Rs.2000 for the story and Rs.1000 for poems.

7- We would accept only one story per contributor and up to 4 poems.On the cover page of the submission, please give your complete contact information- Name, Address, Contact Number, A Short Bio and a Photograph which would be used in the online promotional banners.

8- A Certificate and 5 Complimentary copies would be provided to the selected candidates.

9- Entries should be emailed at sanmati555@gmail.com on/before April 25, 2017. The Results would be announced on May 1, 2017

1- Tell us something about yourself. Describe yourself in three words. I am a Writer from New Delhi currently residing in Texas , USA. 1- Tell us something about yourself. Describe yourself in three words.  I am a Novelist and Poet from Kolkata. I have authored three books “Walking in the streets of love and destiny”, “The Hidden Letters” and “The Heart Listens to No One”. I live to write and write to live. How did you get the idea for it? What is it about?  The poems that I have written are “A perfect book for you, Mother”, “Adieu” and “Safe Haven”. “A perfect book for you, Mother” is about the poet’s wish to write a book on her mother who has passed away.  “Adieu” is about the emotional parting moment when the father has to bid adieu to her daughter after her marriage.  “Safe Haven” is a poem about how every malady seems to disappear when a person is nestled in the arms of his or her mother.
