1- Tell us something about yourself. Describe yourself in three words.

An aspiring writer from Ranchi currently settled in Patna. I worked as a Company Secretary for a reputed law firm in Ranchi. I was academically quite strong and has won a gold medal in Law from Ranchi University. I like to pen down my thoughts and desires to achieve great heights in the field of literature. Some of my literary work got selected in various books like Her Story, Kaafiyana, Umbilical Chords etc. I like to travel and spend quality time with family.

3 words that describe me

A Caring, Fun loving and a Dedicated soul

2- Tell us about your Poem ? How did you get the idea for it? What is it about?

My 1-year-old son is my inspiration. I adore him and observe him all the time. The way he expresses and plays all the time gives me ideas to write when I sit down. Children are very innocent and pure at heart and we can learn a lot from them. My poem “First Encounter” is about my precious feeling when I saw him for the first time. Motherhood is a full-time job and my poem “motherhood” captures that feeling of selfless giving with utmost satisfaction. “Crazy Little Angel” captures the small crazy things that my munchkin does all the while.

3- Tell us about your Relationship with your Parents? Incite an incident from your Life where you felt deep gratitude towards your family.

I simply love my parents who have supported me wholeheartedly in my studies. There was a time when my parents were getting pressures from the elders in my family regarding my marriage. They stood by my dreams and helped me complete my post-graduation.

4- Tell us about your journey as a Writer.

I feel that writing liberates you and you can express your feelings beautifully. My passion for writing started in my school days when I used to write for my school Magazine.

5- What do you do when you are not writing?

When I am not writing, I love to invest quality time with my son and husband. If time permits I like to catch some sleep too.

6- Who are your favorite authors/ writers?

I like reading works of William Wordsworth, Amrita Pritam, Paulo Coelho and ‘Nirala’. Munshi Premchand is my all time favourite. One gains immense knowledge by just reading them. They are the writers who wrote not for money but, to spread knowledge everwhere.

7- How do you see Yourself five years down the line ? What will you be working on next?

I hope to learn and evolve as a complete writer and work for a renowned publishing house. I have not yet decided on any particular project. I just love to pen down my thoughts and splash various colours with my expressions.

8- How was experience with Sanmati Publishers?

My overall experience with Sanmati publishers was just amazing. They have a team of wonderful and talented people fully dedicated towards their work.

9- What would be your message to our readers?

Keep reading and let us share knowledge with others also who are less fortunate and cannot afford to read and write.

10- Would you like to share few lines from your Poetry at Purple Hues-2

Lines written below are from my Poem “Crazy Little Angel”

The whole day is a roller coaster ride

But, I feel elated when I adore him by my side

He is a small bud who opens his arms wide

He is my small prince who is my pride.
